Discussion with Advocate Ntsiki Sandi, member of the South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission

On 1 March 2010, Advocate Ntsiki Sandi, former member of the South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission will be visiting the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes and the Security Services Archive. Advocate Sandi who came to Prague to participate in the conference “Crimes of the Communist Regimes”, was a member of the Amnesty Committee of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission throughout its existence (1995-2001). In the 1980s, he was an anti-Apartheid activisit and a political prisoner. Today, he is a practicing Advocate in Grahamstown, South Africa. At the occasion of this rare visit, the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes cordially invites to a discussion with Advocate Sandi on the topic “Truth and Reconciliation Commission”, to be held on Monday, 1 March 2010 at 3 – 4.30 pm in the 1st floor lecture hall of the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes, Siwiecova 2, Prague 3.
