Director of the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes will launch an exhibition titled „Miracle of St.Agnes- November 1989“

Director of the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes will launch an exhibition titled „Miracle of St.Agnes- November 1989“ in Rome. The exhibition will be held at the University of the Holy Cross in Rome from 6th of December 2011 till 15th of January 2012. The content of the exhibition are materials related to the canonization of St.Agnes Premyslovna dated 12th of November 1989, including related significant events of 17th of November 1989 and following events. Photographs of Herbert Slavik chronologically documenting own St.Agnes´s canonization by Pope John Paul II. In Vatican and continue by the selection of the photos from demonstrations on Wenceslas square which started the events of 17th of November 1989 and led to the collapse of the communist regime in former Czechoslovakia. The last block of the exhibition will capture the pontifical Mass to honor St.Agnes in the Prague Cathedral of St.Vitus dated 25.11.1989. The event is held under the auspices of the Embassy of Czech Republic to the Holy See.
