Denunciation as a social practice in the Czech lands 1938–1953

Implementation: 2017–2019

Head of project: Jaromír Mrňka

Description of project: The project reconstructs the phenomenon of denunciation in modern Czech society during the period of Nazi and Stalinist dictatorships. It focuses on the analysis of mechanisms in which denunciation represented a specific type of social communication between the state and society. Special focus is put on the analysis of denunciation as an exclusive behaviour, while both the individuality of concrete actors and their social setting as a distinct social group are analyzed.
