Invitation to a press conference
Dear colleagues, We would like to invite you a press conference, which is taking place as part of the launch of an outdoor exhibition entitled “We Did Not Give Up, or Stories of the 20th Century.” This event has been prepared by the Post Bellum organisation as part of the celebrations marking the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Iron Curtain. The exhibition has been arranged in conjunction with the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes, and the City District of Prague 1. Many other partners have also contributed to the event. The press conference will be held at the Straka Academy (Strakova academie) at 10:00 am on Tuesday, 27 October 2009. Czech prime minister Jan Fischer, Post Bellum director Mikuláš Kroupa, the director of the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes Pavel Žáček and the mayor of the City District of Prague 1 Petr Hejma will be in attendance along with Jiří Stránský who represents those who lived through the events in question.
